What can I expect to see at Automania Automotive Festival?

Anything with an engine, plus more – we celebrate the full car culture of New Zealand whether that’s in the cars we like, or the things we like to do. On Show: from Japanese machines to Hot Rods, Muscle Cars to Exotics, Vintage to the weird and whacky custom car builds, as well as many types and eras of motorbikes. We will also have the Action Arena with D1NZ Drift shows and Motorbike Stunting, D1NZ Driver signings, the Culley’s Chilli eating competition, technology demos and gaming competitions, our Hobby Zone, and Drift Karts for the kids. A lot will be jam-packed into one day!

What are the food options and do the food trucks accept credit cards? Is Cash Out available?

Food and beverage vendors accept cash, many have EFTPOS but are unlikely to accept credit cards. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide Cash Out facilities, so please visit an ATM beforehand if you would like cash on hand.

Will there be vegetarian and vegan food options?

Yes, we have a lot more than just hot chips! Automania is all about diversity and inclusion, including and not limited to our car culture and our personal preferences.

 

Is there entertainment for children on the day?

Absolutely, we have to keep the future generation of Car Crazy kids entertained. There are numerous attractions from miniature drift karts to race simulators available on the day.

Are alcoholic beverages available for purchase?

No - as our festival is a family-friendly event, alcoholic beverages are not available or allowed on premises.

What should I bring?

A hat and sunblock – especially for the kids. That New Zealand sun can burn within a quick 30 minutes even on cloudy days. If you forget your sunblock we will have some at our Information Desk inside the stadium lobby.

What am I not allowed to bring?

No dogs/pets, alcohol or BBQ’s, as well of course anything illegal and/or threatening to other public. Please don't be offended when asked to remove these. No gang regalia or provocative clothing of a representative nature.

 

Is there parking at the stadium?

Yes, there is free parking available (Subject to capacity) via Silverfield Lane, and a limited number via Argus Place. If your car is something a little special and you’d like to show it off, or you would like VIP parking, you can park your car in the Hardtuned Hard Park for $20 (includes driver GA entry) – access is only via Argus Place.

How do I know what time events are on during the day?

The official timetable will be posted on the event page and Facebook page before the event, as well as on the big LED screen in the stadium lobby on the day.

I lost my child or found a lost child?!

Please visit the Information Desk inside the stadium lobby!

Can I pre-purchase entry tickets?

Yes! We have online ticket sales pre-event via Eventfinda. Children under 12 are FREE.
